Katy (the Hater) is a secondary character in Checkpoint. Billy’s older sister who is always ready to tear down anyone who gets on her nerves - no punches pulled, just pure attitude.

Katy’s parents abandoned her and her younger brother Billy at a young age, leaving them in the care of the Multiversal adoption system. While jumping from family to family, Katy and Billy’s resentment for the world grew - but as Billy focused on taking it out on classmates, Katy dedicated her anger toward two people: Steve and G.U.I.D.O. She tore down every poster, scoffed at every story, and sneered at every mention of their names.

In her eyes, Steve and G.U.I.D.O represented everything that wasn’t provided to her and Billy: opportunity, purpose, and a chance to be someone important. They were the lucky ones - chosen to travel the multiverse, celebrated as heroes, and given a future while she and Billy were stuck in the shadows.

Katy’s bitterness fuels her sharp tongue and relentless attitude. She’s not just a hater for the sake of it - she’s fiercely protective of Billy and uses her sarcasm like armor to keep the world at bay.
