Gaming Utility in Database Operations, more commonly known as G.U.I.D.O, is the deuteragonist of Checkpoint. A loyal robotic companion, G.U.I.D.O lends his support to Steve on his journey across the Multiverse.

Background

During the time of Mesa’s betrayal, the Cosmic Princess found it tough to trust many of her allies. As betrayal and corruption surrounded her, she decided to build her own robot, G.U.I.D.O, as an advisor.

The Cosmic Princess and G.U.I.D.O formed a close bond - with G.U.I.D.O’s advice impacting several key decisions within the Multiverse. G.U.I.D.O was the only one close to the Cosmic Princess who sensed Mesa’s betrayal, but his warning came too late.

When the Princess disappeared, G.U.I.D.O devoted himself to locating her - but he was quickly captured by Mesa in Valmorta, a barren, war-torn dimension. Using his final emergency teleport protocol, he was returned to the Checkpoint, where he met Steve.

Although G.U.I.D.O did not trust Steve upon their first meeting, he grew to admire his courage. As their friendship developed, G.U.I.D.O shed his harsh demeanour, and the pair became inseparable on their journey to find the Princess.

G.U.I.D.O’s unshakable loyalty to do what is right and help his friends continues to drive him on his path to save the Multiverse!
